Inez Whitlow – Founder, President and CEO
It was life experiences and a passion for helping others that fueled the driving force to create an organization that specialized in the mental, physical and emotional healing for teens or women facing one of the most difficult choices – an unplanned pregnancy.
Inez Whitlow is the “chick in charge” – the glue and the face of the organization. She offers hope for the many teens and women she meets daily and collaborates with other agencies to make sure all our clients’ needs are met. She is a licensed and bonded adoption facilitator in Sacramento, CA, with a BS in Paralegal Studies
On any given day, you can find her taking several clients to a doctor’s appointment, lab work completed, counseling, court, grocery shopping, being a labor coach and looking for a place to live!
She currently lives in Elk Grove California and is the mother of 4 amazing children.
Gloria Benavides is the Program Coordinator for Chicks in Crisis. Gloria has worked for Chicks in Crisis for a year and a half and enjoys working for an organization that is dedicated to saving babies. Her job duties include: Provide field support to the Executive Director & Founder, handles appointment scheduling (clients, process all insurance ,including Medi-Cal forms, process intake forms, transport clients to medical appointments, Translation when needed (fluent in Spanish), networking with area OB/GYN offices.
Before working for Chicks in Crisis Gloria worked for a OB/GYN based in the Sacramento area for eight years as a Medical Assistant and was able to relate her medical and office skills to the needs of Chicks in Crisis. Although, she does not have children and may not relate to the labor pains, she can dedicate her time to others that are in a crisis. Her hobbies are swimming, reading and spending time with her two nephews and niece. She currently is enrolled in College to become an RN.
