Chicks In Crisis Parent Programs

Our goal is to inspire all women, moms and dads to be loving and supporting parents.

Pregnancy without the proper support can lead to a host of critical social issues, such as welfare dependency, poverty, sexual crimes, physical abuse, drug addiction, and child abuse.

Being a parent is a tough job, that requires you to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. For most mothers, fathers and women, parenting is a job they are struggling to cope with alone. The biggest issues they face are a lack of peer, family and community support. In addition, community resources for these young mothers and fathers are hard to find and rarely customized to the special learning needs and challenges of teen parents.

Our Parenting Program offers a combination of services including, but not limited to: parenting workshops, health and nutrition, resume building, interviewing skills and finance and budgeting. Our workshops are an essential component to the success of these mothers and fathers in becoming a good parent and financially independent.

We work to empower mothers and fathers to continue to obtain their education, learn to parent their baby and develop their own self confidence. Another component to our teen mom program is “Amber's Clothes Closet” which is normally open every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  While we work to secure a new location, Amber's Clothes Closet will be closed to the public.  It will reopen as soon as possible.

We offer FREE diapers, formula, baby wipes and baby clothes. We also offer professional and business casual clothes for job interviews.

Chicks in Crisis offers hope, support, nurturing, and encouragement to empower each  man and woman to overcome their fears and struggles.  We believe this is the key to preventing children from entering the foster care system.

Women and mothers, whether pregnant or post-partum, are eligible to participate in the services we provide. Regardless of your age we are here to help support you become a better mother and role model.
