Grant Writing
Chicks in Crisis need several individuals with strong writing skills and the ability to do research to uncover local and national grant opportunities in the area of, adoptions, Teen Mom Program, workshops, Clothes Closet, etc. As a grant writer you will work with board members to develop proposals and strategic opportunities. Workshop Instructors We need instructors to commit to delivering one to two workshops per week, Monday through Saturday. The workshops are focused on career achievement, creating resumes, follow-up strategies and mock interviews.
Clothes Closet
We need individuals to help create and support a strategy to increase donations to our clothes closet facility open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We need people to go into the community to receive diapers, wipes, formula, baby clothes and business casual and business clothes for women.
Instructors
Enthusiastic people needed with solid business acumen to deliver career achievement classes in the south Sacramento and Elk Grove area. Chicks in Crisis provides career achievement courses and finance classes to young mothers and mothers-to-be ages 15 - 21 at various local charter schools. Each class is three to four hours long. We are looking for articulate people who can deliver these classes once or twice per week. No teaching experience is required -just good business understanding, presentation skills, and a desire to assist girls with getting ahead in life. Donation Sorters
We need sorters to assist with organizing the 'Clothes Closet' at our office in the Elk Grove Non-Profit Center above the Grocery Outlet on Bond Road in Elk Grove. Fundraiser Coordinators We need someone to develop, coordinate and run a 'Baby Bottle Coin Drive' to raise funds. Writers We need someone with excellent writing skills to help capture the stories of our birth-mothers and adopted parents. If you work for a company that supports the United Way of the Capitol Region, we need ambassadors that can help us to receive payroll donations.
