Extended GED School Program

We are pleased to announce Chicks in Crisis Teen Mom and Teen Dad program offered to continuation and extended GED Charter Schools in the greater Sacramento area. The program provides teen moms and dads with the skill sets required to be good parents and the knowledge they will need to take good care of themselves, their baby and family through our Parenting and Health and Nutrition Workshops. Our Career Achievement Workshops get them prepared to build a resume, prepare follow up correspondence with potential employers and practice interview skills.  Our Financial Literacy Workshop teaches students the basics of banking services and fraud.  We have successfully partnered with other extended GED schools in the area to deliver these services with great success.  The focus is to provide these schools additional student enrollment with a "Teen Mom and Teen Dad" program that gives incentives for students to come to class and graduate.

Our goal is to educate and develop the life skills necessary to encourage teen moms and teen dads to make informed decisions for themselves and their children and in turn become financially secure and productive members of the community.
